Early Socialization Period

Early socialization in puppies is crucial because it lays the foundation for their behavior throughout life. During the critical socialization period, typically between 3 to 14 weeks of age, puppies are most receptive to new experiences. Positive exposure to various people, environments, and other animals helps them develop into well-adjusted, confident adults. Remember, quality over quantity! Exposing them to various stimuli, and a positive manner helps shape their behavior and responses for the rest of their life.

The message that we cannot take our puppies out until they’ve had their full round of shots is outdated and dangerous to the dogs’ wellbeing.

Failure to socialize puppies can lead to behavioral issues such as fear, anxiety, and aggression. Dogs that haven't been properly socialized may display fear-based behaviors, leading to stress in unfamiliar situations. This can result in challenges like difficulty interacting with other dogs, people, or adapting to new environments.
